Local bicycle advocates joined Talking Heads lead singer David Byrne to discuss the critical role cycling will play in Boston and other cities working toward sustainability. The event also marked the US launch of the Copenhagen Wheel, a SENSEable City Lab project. The images shown are from Jacqueline Douglas’ presentation given at M.I.T. this past spring in support of Urban Revolutions: How Cycling is Transforming our Cities.
Jacqueline Douglas is Director of LivableStreets Alliance. A longtime advocate for developing urban transportation solutions that make Boston a connected, livable city, Douglas challenges people to think about and demand a city that balances transit, walking and biking with automobiles.
